Jim Duchow, Fox River Racing Club President asked us to post this for the FRRC.
Responseto WIR’s new 1/4 mile “Outlaw Late Model” division has been great! There has been a lot of interest and old cars are being dusted off and prepped for the upcoming race season. FRRC officers have received numerous phone calls from potential racers wondering if it would be possible to use engines other than the 602 Crate and the 361 spec engine. The Club’s initial response was “no”. However there have been enough requests for the use of alternate engines the decision was made to open up the engine rules to fit the divisions’ “outlaw” title. For 2016 the engine rules will be opened up to allow “run what you brung”. The rules committee will adjust the car weight and RPM limit to compensate for variations in engine performance. A revised set of rules is attached. Changes to the rules are highlighted in red.
